Akame ga Kill! Zero is a prequel manga series based on the titular character Akame before she joined Night Raid.

One-on-one fights are the best to watch, especially the action sequences that depict the movement and grace of the opponents. But in a standoff, only survival matters, as the ball of tumbleweed rolls across the opponents signaling the fight. And if it's a dark fantasy anime, then Akame ga Kill! takes the top spot.
The story begins when Tatsumi, a fighter from a poor village, stumbles into the capital looking for a job, but instead gets robbed. Despite being totally broke, he gets saved by passers-by, and enjoys the company of their home. The twist comes when it turns out the family is a bunch of sadists who love to torture people.
When he gets saved by the very person who robs him, he understands the corruption and power of the wealthy has gone to their heads. Among the people who saves him is Akame, who is an assassin with dead eyes, but easily accepts Tatsumi into the group known as Night Raid.
With politics of the kingdom and the whole might of the royal army against them, the Night Raid is against a tough bunch. But the real question arises; will Tatsumi survive in the group filled with killers? With a dash of romance and comedy, this action anime is a must for people who love shounen.
