Good Anime Movies

I remember the first time I saw an anime, I was extremely fascinated by the facial expressions of the characters. Their big round eyes were something I found really interesting. I remember watching Naruto, which according to me is the best anime ever. It made me absolutely addicted to Japanese anime. Here are some anime movies worth mentioning.

Akira - It is an anime classic. After major cities have been destroyed after the world war, Tetsuo (part of a secret military mission) learns about Akira frozen underground. A must watch.

Ninja Scroll - An extreme action thriller with the backdrop of feudal Japan. A story about a ninja who fights his nemesis, who wants to overthrow the Japanese government. A word of caution, this movie is a little too violent and has explicit scenes therefore is recommended for adult viewing only.

Noir - This movie is all about girl power. It portrays two female assassins who want to resolve mysteries of their past.

El Hazard - It is a story set in Roshutalia whose princess is Lune Venus. It has humans battling insect world led by Queen Diva.

Princess Mononoke - This is an amazing movie to watch, dubbed by American actors. The story is based on a conflict between the forest and a mining colony.

Ghost in the Shell - This movie is similar to Matrix where the world is ruled by cybernetics and humans exist in a virtual world. The story revolves around a cyborg cop.

Rurouni Kenshin - It's about a character Himura Kenshin and his journey through feudal Japan as a Samurai warrior.

Ah My Goddess! - This is a love story between a nerd and a goddess Belldandy. A romantic comedy, this movie is something you should not miss.

Video Girl Ai - This movie is about a man who is in love with a woman he cannot have. He falls in love with a virtual character from a movie and in the process gets more than what he could ask for. The movie is meant for adult viewing only.

Gunsmith Cats - It is a story about two lovely female bounty hunters who also own a gun shop.
