Story: This is the story of a young man, who makes his rise as a underworld criminal during the prohibition era in America. Many of the characters are known to be inspired from real people during that time.

Goodfellas―1990

Cast: Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta, Paul Sorvino, Lorraine Bracco, Frank Sivero
Story: A beautifully-pictured movie on the lead character, who is part Irish, part Italian, and involved in the American mob for about 10 years. Based on a non-fiction book by Nicholas Pileggi, named 'Wiseguy', it is considered as one of the best action movies of the decade.

Miller's Crossing―1990

Cast: Gabriel Byrne, John Turturro, Marcia Gay Harden, J. E. Freeman, Jon Polito
Story: Another great creation, and known to be one of the '90s best movies. This story revolves round the lead character played by Gabriel Byrne, a protagonist, juggling between the superiority struggle of two very powerful rival gangs in America.

A Bronx Tale―1993

Cast: Robert De Niro, Lillo Brancato, Chazz Palminteri, Francis Capra, Kathrine Narducci, Taral Hicks
Story: Shot on the sets of the American Bronx, this movie was one of the best I ever saw. It tells the story of a young Italian-American teenage boy, who witnesses a murder committed by a mafia boss, who trains him to be his underdog. But he is torn between the duties as a son to his law-abiding father, and a mentor he chooses for himself. One of the best action movies ever, you must see.
