Top 10 Movies of the 80s

We're making things easier for you by listing the 10 best movies. Pick any one of these movies and you're set.
P.S.- There is no particular order of listing that has been followed here. We have simply put forth a list. Look at it more like movies you just cannot afford to miss. And by all means, add a few if you like.

Dirty Dancing

Does this even need an introduction? I think not. Patrick Swayze... "Nobody puts baby in the corner"...and some mean dancing tricks. What more do you want?

The Karate Kid

The typical 'good guy wins' story ... but so good! Mr Miyagi and his "Wax on...Wax off" formula. Classic. Watch this for the feel good factor.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Catch the antics of Ferris Bueller in what is one of the most famous 'bunking' school story ever. Hilarious.

Top gun

Reason to watch? Tom Cruise and the fact that he was called Maverick in this one. When you get over his smile ... you'll find the story is something of great effect as well.

The Breakfast Club

Amazing mix of characters that seem to have nothing in common and the slow revelations of their traits when they are trapped in a room together. You'll find some well-known faces in this one.

The Princess Bride

Love, romance, action, fantasy...it's all there! The quintessential love story. A must watch for all romantics!

E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial

A beautiful combination of fantasy and emotions. An alien is left behind on earth and befriended by a young boy and girl. By the end of the film E.T. makes a place in our heart.

The Lost Boys

Watch this one for the creeps. One of the best vampire stories that there are. I'm not giving anything away.

Purple Rain

Catch this movie just to watch Prince ... More so for the music and of course a story that all can identify with.

St. Elmo's Fire

Much like a movie version of famous sitcoms. Love, sex and confusion. Then the resurrection. Catch it for that and of course Rob Lowe.
